Dune Series Books
The Dune universe, or Duniverse, is the political, scientific, and social fictional setting of author Frank Herbert's six-book series of science fiction novels which began with 1965's Dune. Dune itself is considered by many to be the greatest science fiction novel of all time, was the first bestselling hardcover science fiction novel, and is frequently cited as the best-selling science fiction novel in history. Dune won the 1966 Hugo Award and the inaugural Nebula Award for Best Novel, and was later adapted into a film in 1984 and a televised miniseries in 2000. In 2003, the novel's first two sequels appeared as a miniseries as well.
